BECOME A COMMITTEE MEMBER
Do you enjoy planning, organizing and seeing projects through to fruition? LIFE's committees are your opportunity to contribute special skills and interests you have. LIFE's committees are always happy to see new faces and share new ideas, so get in touch with us and let us know how you'd like to contribute.

Below you'll find information on our standing committees. Please contact our office for more information.

Want to have a say on the courses we offer? The Calendar Committee is responsible for coming up with ideas for courses, recruiting moderators and lecturers, planning the schedule, and producing and distributing the Calendar each term.

Have a wealth of moderating experience you'd like to share? The Moderators Committee recruits new LIFE moderators and offers them support through special workshops, feedback and mentoring throughout the year. Members of the Moderators Committee bring value and insight to their committee work through their own personal experience leading courses at LIFE.

Good at networking? The Class Host Committee recruits members to provide support and connections to Lecturers and Moderators.

Enjoy writing and editorial work? The Communications Committee keeps members informed about LIFE's latest developments and activities by enlisting contributors and preparing LIFE's quarterly newsletter, LIFElines

Are you friendly and outgoing? The Membership Engagement Committee welcomes and supports new members, hosts our annual welcome event, and recruits new volunteers by actively encouraging members to get involved in LIFE.

Good at planning a party or event? The Special Events Committee plans and organizes social events for LIFE members, such as our Welcome Days, Winterfest and March Mingle.

Love planning a holiday as much as you enjoy taking one? Each year the Travel Committee plans and organizes a variety of educational travel opportunities for LIFE members.

Have ideas for new learning opportunities? The Curriculum Committee oversees the long-term development of our learning opportunities in order to stay abreast of changing interests among our membership, and to ensure the timely delivery of relevant and interesting educational material.
